MEETING OF THE CZECH BUSINESSMEN WITH THE OFFICAL KAZAKH DELEGATION

On October 12, 2005 Comenius in cooperation with the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade organized a meeting between Czech businessmen and the official delegation of the Kazakh government visiting the Czech Republic on the occassion of the Mutual intergovernmental comission for eonomic, industrial and scientific and technical cooperation with Kazakhstan. The highest ranked delegate was Mr. Batalov, A. B. Vice-Minister for Industry and Trade.

More than 60 top representatives of the Czech companies interested in cooperation with Kazakhstan (Škoda Auto, Škoda Holding Plzeň - Škoda Electric and Škoda Transportation divisions, Karosa IRISBUS, AZAS Invest, Aero Vodochody, LOM Praha, PSJ Holding, Mavel, Plynostav Pardubice Holding, EGAP, Unis, Czech Export Bank) took part in this event. During the four-hour meeting Czech businessmen had the opportunity to acquaint themselves with the current developments in the Kazakh economy, policy for foreign investments in Kazakhstan, Kazakh needs and interests in foreign investments and possibilities of scientific and technical cooperation. On the other hand, representaives of the Czech companies gave concise overviews of their services, products and goals to their Kazakh counterparts. Comenius prepared especially for this occassion materials containg necessary information and profiles of all the participating companies.
